Survey on Public Understanding of Sustainability Information

Dear participant,

this questionnaire is part of the Erasmus+ project ECOGAGE – Engaging Critical Thinking for Sustainable Living. The aim of ECOGAGE is to support adults in critically assessing sustainability-related information and claims, recognising misleading or unclear messages, and making informed decisions in everyday life.

With this survey, we would like to better understand how people currently perceive and interpret sustainability information, which topics are confusing or unclear, and what kind of support would be most helpful. Your input is essential for ensuring that the project’s results are developed in a way that truly matches real needs and everyday realities.

The findings from this questionnaire will directly inform the development of the project’s educational outputs. These include short, fact-based materials that clarify common sustainability claims, as well as interactive learning tools such as animation videos with decision-making options and a virtual sustainable household, where users can explore the consequences of everyday choices. Your feedback helps us design these materials so that they are clear, practical, trustworthy, and relevant.

All information you provide in this survey will be kept strictly confidential, processed anonymously, and used only for research purposes within the ECOGAGE project. Participation is voluntary, and there are no right or wrong answers—we are interested in your personal views and experiences.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at elisa.goldmann@fh-mittelstand.de.
We thank you very much for your support.
